Master of Science Program in Agricultural Communication and Information Science

Curriculum philosophy

Focused on producing master's graduates equipped with knowledge in communication alongside information science through active learning where instructors act as learning leaders and promote critical thinking. Students will develop knowledge and skills to achieve in-depth expertise in communication and information technology through real-world experience and simulations, in order to create research and innovation that elevate Thai agriculture.

Course objectives

  1. Produce master's graduates with knowledge and skills in communication combined with agricultural information science
  2. Produce master's graduates with knowledge and skills in communication and information science research to elevate agriculture.
  3. Produce master's degree graduates who can apply knowledge and skills to create innovations in agricultural communication and information science.
  4. Produce master's degree graduates with morality, ethics, code of conduct, and the ability to adapt to changes in global society.

Program Learning Outcomes: PLO

PLO 1

Discuss the principles, concepts, and theories of communication, information, and agriculture to lead to the extension of knowledge in related disciplines.

Apply knowledge in agricultural communication and information science for agricultural development

Analyze communication and agricultural data to appropriately and creatively plan communication strategies targeting audiences through traditional and digital media.

Admission requirements

Be a bachelor's degree graduate or equivalent, with various requirements in accordance with the institute's regulations on graduate studies, B.E. 2559 (2016).

Student admitted under Plan A, Type A 1

  1. Must hold a bachelor's degree in agricultural communication, agricultural extension, agricultural development, communication arts, mass communication, journalism, educational technology, communication, agriculture, or other related fields from an educational institution recognized by the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) or the institute.
  2. Those who have graduated from a related field are required to take remedial courses at the discretion of the program management committee.
  3. Have at least 1 year of work or research experience related to agricultural communication or other related fields, supported by a certificate of employment from a supervisor, with the exception of international students.
  4. In accordance with the Regulations of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang for Graduate Studies, B.E. 2559 (2016)

Admitted students, Plan A, Type A 2

  1. Must hold a bachelor's degree in agricultural communication, agricultural extension, agricultural development, communication arts, mass communication, journalism, educational technology, communication, agriculture, or other related fields from an educational institution recognized by the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) or the institute.
  2. Achieve a cumulative grade point average of not less than 2.50
  3. Those who have graduated from a related field are required to take remedial courses at the discretion of the program management committee.
  4. In the event that the applicant does not meet the specified qualifications, it shall be at the discretion of the Curriculum Administrative Committee.

Admitted students, Plan B

  1. Must hold a bachelor's degree in agricultural communication, agricultural extension, agricultural development, communication arts, mass communication, journalism, educational technology, communication, agriculture, or other related fields from an educational institution recognized by the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) or the institute.
