Thai–China Meeting to Strengthen Collaboration in Student Development and International Research
On Tuesday, 18 November 2025, administrators and faculty members from Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU), People’s Republic of China, visited and held an academic collaboration meeting with the School of Agricultural Technology, KMITL.
The meeting was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Somsak Kramchote, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, together with faculty representatives from the Department of Animal Production Technology and Fisheries and the Department of Plant Production Technology.
HZAU is one of China’s leading agricultural universities, renowned for its excellence in horticulture, plant science, animal science, and fisheries.
This official visit aimed to explore academic collaboration between the two universities in the following areas:
Student exchange programs
Faculty exchange and academic mobility
Joint development of academic programs in plant science, animal science, and fisheries
Framework development for collaborative research
Both institutions engaged in in-depth discussions to prepare for the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and an Agreement to formalize the partnership.
This meeting marks a significant milestone in elevating international collaboration for the involved programs and the entire School. It presents an important opportunity to expand knowledge exchange, strengthen joint research, and enhance student competencies at the global level.
